Liive “Easter Showcase” - Kim Davis

Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket
I styled Kim Davis at the Liive Easter Showcase at Dazzling Modern Lounge a month ago. I decided to dress her in a bright pink slimmer top, white blazer, boyfriend jeans with splashes of white paint effect, colour-block heels and a gorgeous chandelier necklace. I thought for this specific occasion, a sexy casual style best suited Kim. She said she felt great in the outfit, had a blast performing in it and received the most wonderful compliments. I will definitely try more of these looks on her in her future appearances and performances.

PlayTIME

My girl Nicole and I decided to check out the new event PlayTIME at TIME located on Peter St. I must say it was a great event and there were so many beautiful and fashionable women in the building which I loved so much! The music was also on point and I love that the patio had lounges, perfect for this amazing weather Toronto has been having lately! From here on out I will be posting the outfits I wear when I attend parties to share with you all since I don’t seem to have the time to take photos of my outfits these days (sorry about that), but here’s the start to posting many outfits that I will be wearing and trust me, I have a lot of events to go to before this month ends!

Rock the Boat High Res

Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket
Here are the high res photos from the shoot I did with photographer @rennaldoj. Like I mentioned in my earlier post of the behind-the-scenes photos from this shoot, we wanted to give a simplistic edge to her look as though a more daring persona is trying to emerge from that very sweet face. Nothing too forced nor predictable.

Caught On The Street

Photobucket
A couple of days after fashion week, I ran into my good friend, photographer Sarjoun Faour, on Queen Street and took a quick snap of my very casual outfit from that day. I must admit that my sense of style has transitioned into a more urban swag look of which I’ve received positive responses thus far. I’m really enjoying the more casual, fun, mis-matched outfits that I put together lately - playing with a lot of printed T’s, denim vests, boyfriend jeans, baseball hats and kicks that I have never tapped into before. I will be posting some random pics of me when I was out-and-about these past few months so you can see what I mean ;)

Fashion Week Outfits

Photobucket Photobucket
Hello folks! Back in March, Toronto Fashion Week took place and my girl Angela and I could not pass up the opportunity to witness, first-hand, the new designers that were featured for the occasion…and oh boy what an event! We went to see about 5 shows and I was beat by the end of it. On the last day, we got to go backstage and witness the production of the final show! Anyway, here are two of the outfits that I wore on the first couple of days of fashion week taken by the amazing Sarjoun Faour! Both outfits were featured in several fashion blogs and on-line mags which I was very stoked about! ;)

Liive “Whitney Houston Tribute” with Toya Alexis

Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket
Last Thursday, I was asked to style the beautiful and multi-talented singer, Toya Alexis, for her Whitney Houston Tribute at the Liive event at Dazzling Lounge. This was my first time working with Toya and not only does she have the most amazing voice that will knock your socks off and make your jaw drop, but she is also so lovely and down-to-earth! I opted to put her in a simple yet elegant emsemble.

Toya, more often than not, goes for fitted dresses so I thought this was the perfect opportunity to see her in separates and I went for an ethereal look especially that she was to give homage to the amazing Whitney Houston.

Needless to say, Toya looked beautiful and her performance was simply amazing.

If you haven’t been to Liive on Thursdays at Dazzling Lounge (King and John), then I suggest that it become your Thursday hang-out spot, because the live band will serenade you with the hottest RnB and Soul covers, and the live dj’s will make you dance to the wee hours in the morning. Check out and please like the “Liive” page on facebook for weekly infos on performances and also add my good friend, the promoter, James Lowe, on twitter @JLowe_OConcepts for daily updates to his upcoming events!

Hope to see you all there!!! xo

Behind-the-Scenes - Rock the Boat Shoot

Photobucket PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket

Hi guys! Here are just a few behind-the-scene shots of the latest shoot I’ve had the pleasure of collaborating with photographer, Rennaldo J (@rennaldoj), MUA Elle (@ellerach) and model Dorota (@dorithegiant).

We aimed for a minimalist rocker look. I didn’t put any accesories on Dori as I did not want the photos to look too cliche of a rocker theme. Her features are so soft that I think it worked really well with the softer edge we were going for.

This was such a fun shoot and I will be posting the edited photos very soon and can’t wait to share them with you! xo

Nude Oxfords

Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket I am not a woman of flats. These, however, are the exception.

Let’s Dance for Love!

PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket HELLO there my DARLINGS!!! I know that it has been quite a while since I have update this blog (worse blogger in the world, lol), but I have been so busy with so many things which are too many to enumerate. I am back now and able to post photos of what I have been up to in terms of styling. I have done and will be doing a lot of new projects that I am very excited to share with you so if you are following me here, twitter or facebook, then you will get constant new feeds of my new posts from here on out.

Now to start this new post, I wanted to share some behind the scene photos of a shoot I did for the fabulous Queen of Hearts! This shoot is for their new single cover called “Dance for Love” which is such a hype new song that I am very excited for the world to hear and shake their butts to! The concept I went for with the girls’ looks for this shoot is a fun and edgy one. I wanted their individual personalities and styles to shine with a hint of rock ‘n’ roll. So as you can see, I went for patterned T’s, leather jackets, ripped jeans and hard accessories. Unfortunately, we were only able to take photos of the first look, but there was a second look that I will be able to share with you very soon. When you guys hear the song, you will all get the correlation of the music and style ;)

And speaking of QOH, this trio have the most amazing voices and most vibrant personalities - not to mention that they are just hot hot hot!!! I have had the pleasure of being with the girls whilst they are in the studio rehearsing and I am in awe of the voices that came out of those pipes! I cannot wait until they take the pop culture scene by storm so watch out for them! Show love and support to the girls by checking them out on their official website qohmusic.com and also follow them on twitter @qohofficial for constant updates on their music, appearances, shows and their daily fun blurbs. We are currently in the process of choosing the final look to use for the cover so stay tuned!

I love this song.  Everytime I listen to this I get taken into this blissful state.  I get an overwhleming sensation of acceptance and satisfaction of how my life is is just how it should be - worries escape me and I am rushed by excitement of the unknown.

I know I haven’t updated my blog for a while, only because I am trying to gather a lot of inspiration for upcoming projects.  I want to take the creativity to the next level and relay my vision exactly as I want it.  These things need to be planned and well thought-out so thank you for your patience and ongoing support.

In the meantime, I leave you with this song by Clams Casino!  Enjoy and stay tuned! xo
